Die Wände: Self Titled (2022)
Die Wände is the second album from the Berlin post-punk group of the same name. This album is takes its time to flesh itself out in detail. Despite the run-of-the-mill running length at just around 50 minutes, it is only 8 tracks long. The opening track, appropiately titled "Die ewige Baustelle" (The eternal construction site) reflects this depth with its 13:31 track length. The first opening segment on this track invites us to get comfortable, before all but echoing, distant drums go out.
